Bareback saddles do not have any structure, and
are not to be confused with a real saddle that utilizes
a rigid tree. If a child does not have balance, and
leans to one side, all bareback saddles will slide, no
matter how tight the cinch is. Stirrups are meant to
aid in balance, and not to be used for mounting.
Some children balance better with stirrups and some
better without. That is why our stirrups are
detachable. As with all horse equipment, children
should not be without adult supervision.
